Card Disclaimer
At Garrett’s Restoration, we treat every card as if it were our own. To keep things clear and transparent, please review the following terms before sending your cards in for inspection or restoration.
1. Shipping & Handling
Customers are responsible for securely packaging their cards for shipment. We strongly recommend using top loaders, card savers, or magnetic cases.
Garrett’s Restoration is not liable for cards lost, stolen, or damaged during transit to our facility unless insurance coverage was purchased by the sender.
2. Insurance
Customers may opt-in to insurance coverage for return shipping at checkout or when paying an invoice.
If you decline insurance, Garrett’s Restoration assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged packages once shipped.
Insurance covers declared value only; it does not cover grading outcomes, subjective evaluations, or potential market fluctuations.
3. Inspection & Reporting
Upon arrival, each card is photographed and examined under magnification to create a damage report outlining visible defects and restoration opportunities.
This report is informational only and not a professional grading opinion.
4. Restoration Work
All restoration is performed by hand and with care, using techniques intended to improve visual appeal without materially altering the card’s structure.
Because results can vary depending on existing damage, materials, and age, Garrett’s Restoration cannot guarantee perfect restoration or value increase.
Any irreversible issues will be noted before proceeding with work.
5. Grading Considerations
Restored or cleaned cards may be considered “altered” by third-party graders (e.g., PSA, BGS, CGC, etc.), potentially resulting in lower grades or refusal of encapsulation.
By submitting your card, you acknowledge that restoration may impact grading eligibility or label designation.
Garrett’s Restoration is not liable for grading outcomes, delays, or subjective determinations made by third-party grading services.
6. Liability & Acceptance of Terms
By sending cards to Garrett’s Restoration, you acknowledge and agree to:
Assume all risk of shipment, unless insured.
Understand that restoration is cosmetic, not guaranteed to raise card grade or resale value.
Accept that all work is performed at your own risk, and Garrett’s Restoration’s liability is limited to the declared insured value of the card.
7. Return Shipping
All cards are returned using your selected shipping method.
Tracking numbers will be provided once your order has shipped.
Garrett’s Restoration is not liable for lost packages after delivery confirmation unless insurance was purchased.
8. Agreement
By submitting your card(s), you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms outlined above.
